Seeking answers, we conducted a roundtable discussion on gender diversity issues and surveyed more than 1,950 Japanese companies.

- The proportion of survey participants who stated that “major changes were observed on the boards” rose from 6.4% in 2019 to 19.4% in 2023, and the proportion who “observed some changes to the boards” rose from 19.5% to 48.1%.
- In 2019, 25.3% of the participants stated that they couldn’t say whether there were any material changes or not to the boards, whereas this figure decreased to 20.2% in 2023.
